WThis is an easy interpretation of a cocktail from a new drinks list. It's a large-volume pre-mixed which is packed with essence of the festive period, rendering it ideal for your festive gathering. Any leftover cordial to use in morning drinks, puddings, or to make another batch of this cocktail.

Ingredients for the Clementine Cordial (yields 750ml)
300ml recently pressed clementine juice
200ml fresh lemon juice
500g caster sugar
To make the Cocktail (produces 850ml, serving 10)
400ml decent vodka
100ml classic gin
150ml peach schnapps
200ml clementine syrup (from the recipe above)
A few cranberries, to garnish
Mandarin essential oil, for finishing
Directions
For the Citrus Syrup: Place every ingredients in a pot, bring to a simmer, mixing until the sugar dissolves. Next, remove from the burner and let it to reach room temperature completely. Pour into a clean bottle, close it and store in the fridge, where it will keep for about a month.
Preparing the Cocktail Base: Combine every liquids in a big jug, allow it to infuse for 60 minutes, then strain best through muslin, so it's perfectly clear.
When ready to serve: Add 85ml of the batch mix into your stirring glass containing ice, gently stirring carefully for a minute until cold. Strain into an frosted cocktail glass or equivalent, decorate with some cranberries adding the final touch by giving it a quick spritz of mandarin oil over the top.
